Washington County Records Contacts

Washington County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Current answers and record copies must come from the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Washington County Jail, arresting agency, court, or corrections department that holds the record.

Start with the Sheriff or Jail

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is at 733 Kaolin Road, Sandersville, GA 31082, and lists 478-552-4795 as its main phone. The jail's physical address is the same. Jail mail is listed as P.O. Drawer 30, Sandersville, GA 31082, and the jail information line is 478-552-3088. The county public-safety material lists 478-553-0911 for the non-emergency 911-center line.

No sheriff records-unit hours or booking-photo fee was published in the research. Call the main sheriff number to confirm the records custodian, hours, delivery method, and whether a written affirmation is required under Georgia's booking-photo statute. Do not use 911 for a routine record request.

Choose the Office by Record

Different records belong to different custodians. The Washington County booking page explains the full search and request path. For a direct routing decision, use the list below:

  • A current local custody question goes to the Washington County Jail. The official web lookup is currently removed.
  • An arrest or incident report goes to the agency that made or maintains the arrest record, such as WCSO or a municipal department.
  • A booking sheet, custody dates, or booking photograph request goes to the office that created or holds that item. Ask WCSO to identify the custodian if unclear.
  • A first appearance or warrant procedure question belongs with Washington County Magistrate Court.
  • A filed felony, misdemeanor, docket, or final order question belongs with the Washington County Clerk of Court and the court with jurisdiction.
  • A sentenced state-prisoner record or photo belongs with the Georgia Department of Corrections, not the county jail.
  • A federal or immigration custody question belongs with the applicable BOP, USMS, or ICE locator and its stated limits.

A phone confirmation is operational information. A records request is the route for a durable copy. A negative answer from one office does not prove that another custodian has no record.

City Contacts in Washington County

City records can sit outside the county jail system. Sandersville Police is listed at 130 Malone Street, Sandersville, GA 31082, 478-552-3121. Davisboro City Hall, which is the documented starting contact for its police records, is at 201 South Main Street, P.O. Box 189, Davisboro, GA 31018, 478-348-4400, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tennille City Hall is at 106 Park Street, P.O. Box 145, Tennille, GA 31089, and lists City Clerk Danielle Ferguson at 478-552-7875 for open-records requests.

Tennille's assistant city clerk and court clerk, Tanisha Ball, uses the same phone for municipal court files, calendars, dockets, citation status, fees, fines, and warrants. No city-specific booking-photo fee or response time was verified for any of the three cities. Ask each custodian what it actually holds.

The city pages preserve these differences. A city arrest is not automatically a county booking, and an unofficial county page cannot prove that every city record is present.

State, Federal, and Court Routes

The GDC Open Records Request page is the route for an existing state correctional record or offender photograph. The Bureau of Prisons locator covers federal inmates in its scope and publishes no inmate photos. ICE's locator covers only the custody categories and identity fields it states. A federal defendant may be in USMS contract custody before BOP designation.

For a filed Washington County case, ask the clerk for the docket and final order. The court pages publish their own copy rules, which should not be used as a sheriff booking-record price. For a person-specific warrant concern, use an attorney, the relevant court, or WCSO. Do not approach another person or try to confirm a warrant through confrontation.
